The USMC Military Field Tarp, or Military Wet Weather Tarp, is a camouflaged protective tarp designed to provide the USMC  with a lightweight, waterproof covering which will also function as a ground cloth, survival shelter, sunshade, gear cover, emergency litter or overnight shelter against the weather

This Military Marpat Field Tarp is Coyote Brown on one side and USMC MARPAT (Marine Pattern) Camouflage on the other.  The tarp size is approximately 80" x 90", has 8 holes and drawstrings on its corners and sides.

The USMC Coyote Brown side is nylon coated with flame resistant urethane and the MARPAT camo side is rip stop nylon.

Eight bungees are included on each tarp inside 8 attachment grommets.  These make the Military Field Tarp very versatile and allows for numerous shelter configurations.  Please note that in the Used Condition, bungees may be missing or showing signs of use.  Please consider our Genuine Issue Parachute Cord as a suitable repair/replacement for some of these bungees.

Our Military Issue USMC Tarpaulins are divided into three categories: New/Like New, Very Good and Used. See below for a description of each.

New/Like New - This means the Military Tarp was received by us still in its original packaging, still retained its tags or/and showed absolutely no signs of use.  In many cases, an item looks new and unused upon inspection, but to be sure, it is included in the Very Good Category.  Before we call anything new, we need some information or indication that it is in unissued, unused condition.

Very Good - The item either appears to be in unused condition or has slight marks that show it was either issued and stored or had previous minimal use..  There will be no tears or rips in the fabric and all zippers, straps, buckles and Velcro will be in fully functional condition.  The coloring will be in very good shape.  There may be dust on or folds in the fabric showing where it may have been stored for an unknown period of time.  If there are any apparent repairs, they are in this category if it is evident they were made either by the military or by the manufacturer and brought back to new specifications.

Used - This includes everything else, while still assuring that the USMC and/or Military Tarp is fully functional.  There will likely be small rips or tears in the material. There also could be some slight discoloration or signs that the Military Tarp has been used, including missing bungee cords.  In short, it is fully functional but will not look new.  There may also be signs of minor wear.  However, again, in this condition the Military Wet Weather Tarp is fully functional and will do everything it was designed to do when new.  We recommend Genuine Issue Military Parachute Cord as a replacement for missing corner or side bungees.  Any repairs necessary to bring this version back to perfect working condition will be minor.
